In short: Hyracbox sets no advertising or tracking cookies and shows no cookie banner — because none is required. Our analytics are cookieless and don't identify you. If we ever add anything that does need consent, we'll build a proper consent banner first.
1. Why there's no cookie banner
Under the ePrivacy rules ("the cookie law"), consent is only needed before storing or reading something on your device that isn't strictly necessary — for example advertising or cross-site tracking cookies. We simply don't use those. Our analytics are cookieless and non-identifying, which falls outside the consent requirement. So instead of asking you to click through a banner, we've removed the thing the banner exists to gate.
2. What this site stores on your device
| Type | Set? | Detail |
|---|---|---|
| Advertising / marketing cookies | No | We run no ad or social pixels. |
| Analytics cookies | No | Our analytics are cookieless (see §3). |
| Cross-site tracking / fingerprinting | No | We don't track you across other sites. |
| Strictly-necessary cookies | Only if needed | Our host may set a minimal security/anti-abuse cookie required to serve the site safely. These don't need consent and aren't used to profile you. |
3. How our analytics work (cookieless)
We measure which pages are useful with self-hosted Plausible, running on our own infrastructure. It:
- sets no cookies and stores no personal identifiers;
- counts only aggregate signals — pages viewed, referring site, rough country, device type;
- doesn't follow you across websites or build a profile of you;
- keeps the data on our own servers — it isn't shared with a third-party analytics company.
You can read how this feeds into our wider data practices in the Privacy Notice.
4. Third-party content & links
We keep third-party embeds off this site to stay cookie-free. Links out to our products — HyracHub and Studio — take you to separate services that have their own cookie and privacy terms, shown there. We load web fonts from Google Fonts to render the site; these are requested as static files and are not used to track you.
5. Controlling cookies yourself
Because we don't set tracking cookies, there's nothing here to opt out of. If you'd still like to manage cookies generally, every major browser lets you view, block and delete them in its settings, and offers a "Do Not Track" or Global Privacy Control signal. Blocking strictly-necessary cookies may affect how some pages work.
6. If we ever add cookies that need consent
If we introduce anything that stores non-essential data on your device — for example a cookie-based analytics tool or an advertising pixel — we will implement a compliant consent banner first: it will block those scripts until you opt in, offer granular choices, make rejecting as easy as accepting, and remember your choice. We won't ship the tag and "add the banner later." This page and the Privacy Notice would be updated to match.
